Well, I am not going to argue facts because facts in a situation like this are based on your viewpoint of a certain event. But Olyyyy, you are showing people exactly WHY DDC wanted out of XF. You are totally unable to look at things from multiple angles. Once you have made up your mind, then that is it and always will be it. Its about you being right. This is a prevalent attitude in XF that we had to deal with.
Lets go back to the whole SCA thing. Yes I was ****ed. I was ****ed for 2 reasons. First off, the council made a vote which was pretty much ignored and the powers that be at that time did not follow the council vote. The second time, we talked to cyvok, worked out some details and came up with a simple, straight forward approach to ATUK/Shinra. Funny how Cyvok went into a meeting with you and others for 2 hours and what came out of that was the SCA. Totally NOT what was discussed previously. I understand what Cyvok posted and how he got there, and surprise folks, this was not something totally concocted by Cyvok, rather something made in an attempt to satisfy multiple people that failed miserably. But all that doesn't really matter. What matters is that you Olyyyy took part in this and this is just 1 example of many that I could show, where you refuse to take responsibility. If it fails, you had nothing to do with it. If it works out, your the hero.
However, you are only 1 small probably in a much larger mess. SJ Talsar also created problems in a different way. Altho I like SJ, some of the things he did without the councils knowledge and known only to a few for the good of XF I have a problem with. Basically, the "old guard" leadership in XF I feel manipulated and kept XF in a state a turmoil internally so that they could continue their type of game. Way too many fingers in the pie from what I have seen and I by know means have the complete picture, maybe about 1/3 of it.
Cordy, KSUDruid, Cyvok tried a new approach with XF. They tried, and I supported, a more no BS type of government. But you know, not only did the old guard get ****y, but because we wouldn't play ball the way they wanted, they left. Instead of bolstering the new leadership and doing what they could to make the change they undermined it where they could. Many changes where talked about, you missed several nites in the CEO channel were much discussion took place. But with XF's structuring it would have taken 6 months or more to make those changes. And when you are not only fighting an enemy in your homeland but also fighting a bloated political monster such as XF 6 months is too long for changes that are required today. XF needed a serious wake up call and you see the result of that in XF today.
The final straw on all of this, and people just don't seem to understand, is that in an alliance of 4200-4500 less than 2 percent were doing the fighting. I still feel to this day, if we had just 10% of the alliance step up and fight, this would have turned out very different. But after 6 weeks of begging for people to come help, you get to the point of why am I doing this? And thats were my members and I think many others in the corps now in ASCN were feeling. We are the ones busting our balls while listening to people whine and complain about things, or off mining or npc hunting or agent running while we bash our heads against the 5. I had great hopes when the war started XF would come together like we did for the CA war and the big 11 empire war. But no one showed up. No one seemed to care. They were more content to sit back and whine on the forums and make isk. This is not just my viewpoint, this comes from almost every corp that lived and died in impass and feyth.
We did not abandon XF, XF abandoned us.
